About Us

My name is Clay Webster. I’m a Gold Seal Helicopter CFII and Marine Corps veteran from Southern Illinois. Heli Preflight was created in 2024 after discovering the lack of clear, cited, and structured helicopter training resources. As a 141 Check Instructor, I also noticed vastly varying degrees of preflight knowledge from students.

The intent of this website was to provide an additional tool to students for learning how to conduct a proper preflight, and it has now grown into a comprehensive resource to streamline flight training and increase safety. Please click the ‘Contact Us’ link at the bottom of the page if you have any questions, feedback, or find any revisions that need to be made!
